The Magic City (AL) Chapter of the Links, Inc. is an affiliate of The Links, Inc., an international, not- for-profit organization established in 1946. Founded on the principles of friendship and service, The Links, Inc. is one of the nation’s premier volunteer service organizations of concerned, committed, and talented women who, linked in friendship, enhance the quality of life in the larger community. The organization is concerned primarily with enriching, sustaining and ensuring the identities, culture and economic survival of African-Americans and person of African descent.

Programming: The Heart Of Linkdom


UMBRELLA PROGRAM: The Magic City (AL) Links’ 2014 Health Fair at First Baptist Fairfield to deliver vital information essential to a healthy lifestyle.
THE ARTS: 
Dr. Arthur Bacon presents to the students of W. J. Christian School about various art techniques, including the creation of a new work of art before their eye with displays of some of his personal artwork. 
 

NATIONAL TRENDS: The vision of the National Trends and Services facet is to eliminate disparities by reducing barriers to services through advocacy, education, and service. 
INTERNATIONAL TRENDS: Recently we partnered with the Tom Joyner Foundation to raise scholarship funds for Alabama State and Alabama A&M Universities during the 2014 Classic Sky Show.

Race for the Cure with The Links (AL)HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES: Magic City (AL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is a proud annual participant in the Susan Komen Race for the Cure to provide life saving information about the importance of organ and tissue donation.
SERVICES TO THE YOUTH:
We appreciate our important collaboration with Baptist Health Systems and its mentoring program for high school students, aptly named PRINCETON ACHIEVERS
